One water
Forest Marketing Foods (Dorset) Ltd is supporting One, a unique fund raising brand of water

One was the official water of Live8 and the Make Poverty History campaign. All profits from sales are used to build unique roundabout powered wells in Africa. The roundabout sits on top of a water borehole and contains a pumping mechanism. As children play and the roundabout rotates, water is pumped into a storage tank. This means that there is a constant supply of free, clean water for the community.

A prototype roundabout for publicity purposes was designed and built by Shape Technology, in association with ESE in Poole. The aim of this is to encourage other companies to get involved with the project by either stocking the water, or by donating their expertise and resources to the project. This roundabout was launched at an event in Bournemouth in March 2006 by the project's founder, Duncan Goose, and the brand spokesperson, his sister, the actress Claire Goose, formerly of Casualty and Waking The Dead. This event was attended by David Hawkes and Karen Newton of Forest Marketing Foods (Dorset) Ltd, which is a distributer of One water.

There are 1 billion people in the world who do not have access to clean water. The roundabout project is aimed to starting to address this, improving lives one person, one day at a time.
